WHY A Victim Mindset Will Make You Broke

| by | Mark's Blogs | 5 comments:

YOU are 100% accountable for how you CHOOSE to react to EVERYTHING.

Yes.

EVERYTHING!!!!

YOU may choose to blame the government, your environment, your Spouse, the banks, the police, the person who screwed you over, and ALLOW yourself to get all worked up (after all, it’s not technically Your Fault.)

YOU can get everyone to agree with you, feel sorry for you, and explain how you would be doing [insert anything awesome] if it wasn’t for all this stuff that happened to you.

YOU can CHOOSE to have a VICTIM MINDSET.

After all, it’s easier to blame the fact you aren’t losing weight, writing your book, building your business, going to college, being a better parent, husband, wife, member of your community, living your dreams, because of all these awful things that are, &/or have happened to YOU.

You can CHOOSE to be mediocre.

“If you want to be broke in America, have a victim mindset.”
-Michael Levine-

Michael Levine, has been a guest on my podcast ,Elevating Beyond, 2 times already, and is known as the MICHAEL JORDAN of HOLLYWOOD PR. I’ve had the honor of getting to know him very well over the past year.

He has represented 58 Academy Award winners, 34 Grammy Award winners, and 43 New York Times best-sellers.

Elevating Beyond with Michael Levine

Including such names that include Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, George Carlin, Michael J Fox, John Stewart, among many others.

His work has included non paid media counsel to former presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. He is the author of numerous books on public relations including Guerilla P.R.

Michael Levine has heen VICTIM to many things, including not being able to read, as he was born with dyslexia. However, as a child it was not diagnosed, so they just called him stupid.

He was BORN a VICTIM.

He then was raised by a mom who was an alcoholic, in a rough area in New York. So at age 17, not being able to read, this “stupid” guy went to California all on his own with a Dream of becoming a agent/P.R. to all the A-List celebrities in Hollywood.

He CHOSE to NOT be a victim.

He CHOSE to be The Captain of His Mindset.

He CHOSE to be a VICTOR.

YOU always have a choice.

Choose Wisely.

YOU ARE THE CAPTAIN OF YOUR MINDSET.

Thanks, Mark. This is what I preach to my sons as well. You see, since my arrival to the US, as a Bosnian refugee, twenty-one year ago life has been a constant battle with a lot of ups and downs, but wouldn’t have it any other way, anyway. I refused to be a victim of war, refused to be labeled with PTSD, I refused to live in the past, and I refused to let external forces control and create my life. I have chosen to be who I wanted to be by controlling my destiny. I would rather live life by choice instead life by default.
    Best,

    Srdjan
